Great information

You've lucked into a time and field of science that was and still remains very interesting and expanding. The information you've developed so far looks good.

Next, I would like for you to investigate the time during which Rutherford was working and post any information about other scientists (physicists, chemists, etc) who contributed to the field of atomic and nuclear particles. See if you can find any theories that were being developed, tested or refuted through Rutherford's (and his contemporaries) work.

Just to remind you, there needs to be a complete list of internet sources kept for this project. It might be easier to post all of that here - you'll need it toward the end of this for your final presentation.

other scientists that contributed to rutherfords studies:

1. Marie Curie; discovered radioactivity, also discovered polonium and radium.

2. Otto Hahn, Lise Meitner, and Fritz Strassmann; they were the first to realize that uranium, when pounded by many neutrons, actually split.

3. Frédéric Joliot; discovered artificial radiation.
